Why Buy A Portable Camping Toilet?

A new range of portable camping toilets has arrived here in the UK and seems to be taking the camping community by storm. Why is it that so many people are choosing to buy camping loos?

I first started to think about these accessories on a recent weekend trip to a music festival. I'd decided to pitch my tent in the camp site that was associated with the festival. I enjoy the experience of staying in this way and also find that it can help to save me money.

There is, however, a very clear problem with music festivals and camping. Without putting too fine a point on it, that problem is basically the toilet facilities.

If you've ever been to a festival then you'll be familiar with the mobile toilets that are often provided. These are often cubicles that have been put in place temporarily.

Although they may seem like a good idea initially, they almost inevitably become dirty and smelly as the festival progresses. They are one of the biggest complaints that people have when attending festivals, or staying on camp sites.

Portable toilets can provide a good solution, enabling you to bring your own facilties and hence avoid the unpleasant ones that are otherwise to be found on site.

They have, however, sometimes been seen as being rather limited. In particular, there is no doubt that some of them have been rather too bulky to be as portable as they should be.

Another concern has been about how friendly to the environment they would be. So what's the answer?

A new breed of portable camping toilet has been created, that was originally designed for use by the Norwegian armed forces. That may sound strange, but it's actually strangely true!

The new design is both environmentally friendly and lightweight, enabling it to be transported easily, along with the rest of your camping gear.

So next time you pack your tent, don't forget to pack a portable toilet too - it could make your trip a whole lot more pleasant.
