It is busy, in the summer months like august, or during Christmas, or quiet just after the summer holidays from September until November. The streets of Paris welcome you every day of the year. Most of the French people are on their holidays in the month of August. This means that this is the busiest month to travel to France as the locals like to go on a holiday in their own country. I would as well if I were French. Check out the cheap hotels in France because it will be very busy, but if you visit Paris during the summer months you will find the city buzzing with festivals, fetes, events and shows. Expect to see anything from a puppet show to a funfair or an open-air music concert; there is always something happening to keep you and your family busy. This is also a perfect way to meet the locals.
When travelling with children, it can be a bad choice to try save money by selecting a low budget hotel that may well be located on the outer edges of the city and a distance from popular activities. This will mean a lot of travelling by train and other public transport. A cheap hotel in Paris its city centre can make all the difference to your holiday as there wont be far to travel to the attractions, it will be easy to return to the hotel if there is some kind of emergency and children have less time to get tired and irritable. This has to be a holiday for everyone!
Even though Paris is a city, it is honestly easy to visit with children. French people love kids and there are plenty of things to keep them busy and entertained. Before you go, introduce your kids to Paris, let them watch The Hunchback of Notre Dame for example and show them pictures of the Eiffel Tower. You could even learn a few french words together, like Ca va? and Bonjiour, and get to know the locals!
