Once you have the desired vehicle you need to carry out an inspection and make sure you note down any faults you can see. You do not need to be a car mechanic; you just need to survey the vehicle recording any scratches, dents or any other faults. In particular, check the tyres for cuts or bald patches. Now check the lights work along with the brakes and window wipers. You will also need to find out how much petrol you need to leave in the vehicle.

You do not want to be liable for something you did not do and the rental company will assume you have damaged the car if you did not mention it earlier.

Drop the car off on time to avoid paying an additional day's rental fee.
